A good way to tell if you puppy is blind, is to simply watch them. You will notice that they will often come very close to running into things, or actually run into them. You can also wave your hand in front of their face to see if they respond to it, or turn on a lamp of some kind to see if you get any kind of reaction. The most logical of course would be to look at the eyes themselves. They might be glazed over, like my new Maltese puppy Brodie. They might also have some kind of film on the eyes, or a discharge out of the eyes. If any of this sounds like your dog, I would suggest taking him to the vet immediately, because some things can be fixed(not likely, but possible).
Additional Info:
Our vet just confirmed that our 3.5 month old schnauzer puppy has gone blind. The first sign we noticed was his walking into table legs and furniture, walls, doors, etc. But we were in denial and thought he was just klutzy. He also started falling off the edge of the top step, but we thought he didn't understand what stairs were. In the street, he would ignore other dogs and people - - it never occurred to us that he didn't know they were there. Finally, we played ball with him and he pounced on a bouncing ball. But, after the ball had rolled away, he continued to pounce on where the ball had been when it last made a noise by bouncing. That's when we finally decided to take him to the vet. My suggestion if you are not sure: throw something into his face that will not hurt him - - something big, but very light and with no sharp edges (e.g. balled up newspaper). If the dog makes no attempt to get out of the way until it hits him, then you need to take that dog to the vet. Repeat it a few times if you must to convince yourself.
Cat urine can stain clothing and smell bad, some people can actually be allergic to cat urine. Cat urine will not make you blind.
No, since a blind cat wouldn't be able to see the laser beam, they may not sense it unless they feel the heat or hear the movement of the laser. Their other senses like hearing and touch would be more heightened to compensate for the lack of sight.
the cat is going to the town to get a hat.
If you lose both eyes you automatically is blind and can not see anything.
Yes, even if your cat is not sick their are mites in there faeces (they clean themselves with their tongue) that can make you go blind or worse
no if he was blind will know where he's going or find egghead or egg man
because if they are blind they have to know where their going so the dogs bring them places
the reason why is probably because your cat is going blind and can't find you, or is in pain normally my cat does that when hes in the middle of my yard, and can't see anyone normallly all cats do it when ever they're trapped or don't know where they are going the usually have a deep howl that's very loud
Well you would like to know that because you want to know if the cat is going to get pregnant or get another cat pregnant....
belive me your not ever going to be.
