Wild animals live in the wild by following there instincts. They find food by hunting down the food that is necessary for their survival. Yes, they probably do eat more food in captivity because they get food every 2-3 hours. In the wild they have to hunt down food, which could be hard sometimes. Normally in the wild, when it rains the tigers or any other animal would find a cage or a den. Then when the rain is over they might go back out or come back. When they get eaten by another wild animal then they are dead and their life is over.
Grass, and things like that. Things a horse in a pasture would eat.

All animals in the wild eventually die and become food for some other animal. Even tigers and lions. When they die there are animals like buzzards and insects that will feed off of the carcass.
