Very often a predadator kills the weakest of a group of prey animals. The weakest are often ill. This action lessens the chances of diseases being passed on making the whole prey group healthier. Predation also acts to keep the population of a prey species in check avoid over poputalion and the resulting degrading and lessening of food and habitat.
Predators generally go after the easiest/most convenient prey. By that reasoning, predators "select" which animals will survive by allowing the best suited (poisonous/natural defenses) or camoflaged/mimics to survive.
I don't know exactly. Watch the Predator movies to find out
the predator cleans the producer in an ecosystem to maintain the balance of ecosystem.
The predator controls the population of the prey, which means the prey won't die of starvation (less of the animals, means less of their food is eaten).
because drugs.
Environmental Pressures of a rabbit are lack of food/water
You can select a feild of marrine animals and just study that one spacific topic.
to select thing mean put it order or to save it
Humans select certain traits from a dog or cow's offspring to use for whatever purpose they have in mind. These traits are then passed on down to future offspring and selected further by other humans who purchase and use the animals for their use. Thus that's what "artificial selection" is all about: humans doing the genetic selection and looking for certain qualities in domesticated animals that they can "exploit" or use to their advantage.
uptake of water and select ions... "drinking"
if you are asking about how nature naturally selects the 'best' new offspiring it is to with Darwin's theory of the survival of the fittest and only the best and most suited to n environment will survive
Absolutely. Nature has created methods to maintain a balanced population. In many cases this includes predators taking down weak animals in a herd or helping select for the "strongest" individuals as well as maintaining a stable population. And, prey has adapted methods to prevent being wiped out including methods for generating large numbers such as fish who might lay thousands of eggs a year, or preventing attack like a porcupine that has evolved a natural defense mechanisms. Some animals had very few predators other than man. Many have evolved to have slow reproduction. These animals often have been devastated by modern hunting methods.
select committee
The enviornment doesn't select the animals the animals select their enviornment or they evolved over millions of years to adapt to certain types of enviornments that they choose to live in. An example of this is the mud fish who can breathe on land or in water they evolved because their enviornment had droughts if they had not evolved they would have died off and became extinct.
A constant environment will not select different animals but if we assume that the earth's environment is changing then a wide range of genetic variation and a wide range of biodiversity will mean that as the environment does change then at least some of the organisms will survive

Natural selection select depending on 2 things. 1. The ability to survive in a habitat until reprocing 2. The ability to reproduce and to get a mate
There are many different species of animals that select mates for life. One such animal is a penguin, as the father stays with the egg as the mother goes off to fish and feed.
