I don't know about other species, but I have a red-eared slider (one of the most common types of aquatic turtles in the U.S.) and she sleeps at night just like I do. After the sun goes down and her heat lamp turns off, she goes up against one side of her tank, pulls her head in, and sleeps like that all night long.

no they are reptiles
Reptiles (like most animals) sleep when THEY need to - there is no set time. In the wild, they'd eat then rest in short bursts.
actually, its not only two creatures... reptiles, fish, and single celled organisms never sleep but they might go through times where they are inactive

Yes - most reptiles spend a lot of time 'sleeping'.
I think you are trying ask:do monkeys hibernate in winter? The answer is, no, monkeys do not hibernate in winter.Only reptiles hibernate in winter.
It would be amazing to see a Crested gecko close its eyelid when it goes to sleep as they do not have them. Crested Geckos are part of the lidless gecko family. What actually happens when they sleep is their pupils contract to the smallest of slits and the eye will sink slightly into the orbital socket.

Snakes like most reptiles don't have eyelids like a human, instead they have skin that covers the eyes to protect it from things such as light and water
During the sleep cycle described as REM (rapid eye movement) we undergo poikilothermy, that is, we lose control of our body temperature. A condition associated with reptiles.
