a bird wing creates lift by bending and flexing and creating lift by shaping the wing so the air moves over the top faster than the bottom which lowers the pressure on the top and hence "lift". An airplane does the same thing but doesn't flex the wing as a bird does. They do change the shape using flaps and slats and changing the attack angle to the wind as in supersonic aircraft.

Wings create lift through the Bernoulli principle and Newton's third law of motion. The curved shape of the wing causes air above it to move faster, creating lower pressure and therefore lift. Additionally, the downward force of the air being pushed down by the wing generates an equal and opposite force that lifts the wing and the aircraft.
