How do you become friends with a rabbit?

Play with it a lot.

Playing with your rabbit is not enough, though. The way to make a rabbit be your friend is to take care of it properly. If a rabbit isn't getting what it needs, it won't be happy -- it will feel insecure, and it won't trust you. Consider these five categories of care:

• Ability to express natural behaviours: e.g. grazing, so provide your rabbit with lots of hay; and consider a rabbit's play behaviours and provide it with toys -- see the related question below about how rabbits play.
