Well, number one, determine WHY she lost her litter. Give her treats, pet her and rebreed her after you determine why she lost her litter. Was she bothered by predators, loud noises, children? Does she need more privacy ie: a dark area, a covered area?
If the rabbit is grown, take care of it just as you would if you had brought it home yourself. If the rabbit is a baby, it will have the best chance of survival if you give it to a wildlife rehabber or someone from a rabbit rescue organization. Baby rabbits are very difficult to hand-raise, especially if you don't have experience.
Our mini lop did become depressed when he lost his sight due to cataracts. He lost his appetite and became disinterested in his surroundings. To pull him out of it, we would take him on "field trips" to rooms he was familiar with in our house. When he realized he could still find his way around, he gained confidence, and became a happy bun again!
if you spends lots of time with them and talk with them a lot. If you drop your rabbit, or hurt it, they remember too. So be careful. Of course, rabbits arn't like dogs in telling who their owner is, but they generly have some scence in the matter. So, yes, rabbits can generly tell who their owner is.
Havanas are a show rabbit of very high caliber. They come in 3 varieties: chocolate, black and blue (they are also trying to develop a broken variety but in my opinion the type and lustre of the Havana is lost in this variety.) Surprisingly (since this is a 5# rabbit) they make a good meat type rabbit also, because they reach 3 1/2 pounds rather quickly. They are excellent pets and wonderful showmanship rabbits for kids.
Doves and pigeons sometimes take a cycle to learn how to be parents. It is not uncommon for a first brood of eggs to be lost. She will figure it out and do better next year.
it is natural for a rabbit mun to attack her yung. Maybe it's weaning time, Mom lost her milk, babies biting ? Check them out.
my rabbit only 4 moths old and has had 4 babes but only one is left but so unwell a 4 month old rabbit is too young to be bred and have babies. No wonder she lost them. Do not breed her again until she is at least 6 months old.
