Most wild rabbits have a pattern on their backs. Such as a line with a few spots sround it. Usually They have nutural fur. Unless you see a white rabbit. they may or may not be wild. HOPE~IT~HELPS<*>
All pet rabbits (also show rabbits, rabbits raised for meat or fur, etc. -- all domestic rabbits) belong to the European Rabbit species. There are many different breeds of pet rabbits, but only the one species.
There are many different species of wild rabbit, but they are not pets -- unless a wild rabbit was abandoned as a baby and then saved and raised as a pet, but then you would know if that was true of your rabbit. (These rabbits aren't bred as pets or sold in stores.)
The American Rabbit Breeders Assn. has pictures of all the accepted breeds on their website. The specific breeds also have pictures of the specific varieties (colors) on their websites. There are also great books at the library with beautiful pictures of rabbit breeds. (I know, library? Whats a library?) But just because a rabbit looks like a breed doesn't mean that is what it is, cross breeds will often mimic other breeds. Didn't the person you got the rabbit from know what it was? Anyway your best bet is to go to the americanrabbitbreedersassn website and they will list websites to specific breed.
