Mountain Dew is not recommended for chickens. Chickens should primarily drink water to stay hydrated. Providing sugary drinks like Mountain Dew can lead to health issues in chickens.
Their tongues can make a spade shape that helps keep the milk on their tongue then pull it back like a draw bridge then goes down their throat.(Important notice: Cats are lactose intolerant so when they have milk they feel sick so best to keep with water.)
bantam chickens eat the same stuff as regular chickens such as corn, layer pellets or mash and of course bugs! as baby's bantam chickens may need to be on mash longer then the regular chickens and you will have too show them how to drink by dipping their beak in the water dish gently.
chick has dried out completely and is fluffy, you can lightly tap your finger in the water and it should instinctly know how to drink. i also hold the chick whilst dipping it's beak into the water as soon as its ready to be moved into the incubator. If you are hatching via broody hens, dont worry, the mother will teach its chicks to drink! hope this helps

Chickens and roosters can drink almond milk in moderation, as it is not toxic to them. However, almond milk lacks the essential nutrients found in water and regular chicken feed, so it should not replace their primary sources of hydration and nutrition. Additionally, some chickens may have difficulty digesting it, so it's best to observe their reaction and consult a veterinarian if unsure. Always provide fresh water as their main drink.
Around a couple of months
Chickens do well in the summer as long as they have plenty of fresh water. You do not need to give them any kind of special treatment during the summer. They can be kept as usual. But there water will need to be refilled more then normal
Chicken waterers work by using a gravity-fed system to keep a constant supply of water available to poultry. The water is stored in a container above the drinking area, and as the chickens drink, more water flows down to replace what has been consumed. This ensures that the chickens always have access to fresh water.
They get much of the water they require from the food they eat. When rains do occur they will drink as much as they can from standing puddles as they may not get a chance to drink liquid water again for months.
