I take my dog outside but sometimes I leave him on the extended leach so he can walk around by himself. The problem is when I put him on the extended leach, he doesn't get off the porch. He sits next to the door on my porch. I tried showing him it's Ohkay to walk around and he has plenty of space to play or to walk around the yard but once I get him off the porch he runs back and sits. What can I do to get him off the porch?

First, take the dog out on a leash and let him sniff around the porch. Keep doing that daily until he gets used to it, and you can pretty much let go of the leash. Then take the leash off completely. Your dog should know the command "no", so if he tries to get off the porch, you can simply say no. If this doesn't work, take him to obedience classes.
