you get a peice of food and put it on the ground your hamster will sniff it and go right to you11works like a charm!!
If your hamster is in a room and the door was closed when it got loose, just stay perfectly still. Try to listen for scratching sounds. If not, scratch any dresser or deks type thing and listen. If you hear it, look EVERYWHERE you hear it. In droors, behind droors. Basically behind, in, or under anything you can think of that's nearby

Yes, I also think the old bucket trick works too. You put up a plank or something and a bucket baited with yummy food. Your hamster will walk up the ramp and fall into the bucket. Start looking in common hamster hiding places, like under droors, under beds, in bookcases, etc. My hamsters usually hide there. If you cannot find it there, look in unusual places like in blankets, in shoes, and in wrapping paper tubes. Or, you can leave its cage door poen with a trail of sunflower seeds leading to the cage and it will fall asleep in its cage by the next morning. Or, if you have more than one hammy, put a new nesting box in the cage and put the old one outside its cage with bedding. Or, you can buy harmless trap hotels for mice and bait it with treats.
Good Luck!
oh whats above `might work but make shure you put your hamster cage on the ground AND PUT WATER IN IT!
To get a hamster to follow you get some treats, then show your hamster the treat and let them sniff it then start slowly walking backwards and your hamster should fallow it works with my hamster.
well.. itrained my guinea pig by wearing brightly colored socks and Ialso tried to put timothy hay in my sock. but the best advice is to keep practising and eventually the guinea pig will learn.
Try and lure your hamster back into an area you can get him with a trail of sunflower seeds. when you see him/her you cant freak out or it will scurry away.
It depends on the cage. I cornor them and pick them up from the top. Just a warning, hamsters are fast so when you get them out of the cage they are going to want to run and hide.
If you lost your hamster your best bet i to leave out food and water in the cage as it would be hungry and thirsty

No, they are not supposed to. Hamster's teeth never stop growing, so they don't need to lose any teeth. If this does happen, consult a vet. To prevent this from ever happening, Give your hamster healthy chewing logs and sticks Don't feed your hamster anything that could get stuck in it's teeth such as sticky, chocolatey foods. Make sure your hamster's teeth don't overgrow. When a hamster's teeth get to long, it is hard for them to eat. Be sure that your hamster keeps his/her teeth strong and healthy by making sure he/she chews on his/her logs/sticks and eats healthy, crunchy foods such as a good seed mix. If you follow all these requirements, your hamster's teeth should be fine.
that will proberly be a Syrian Hamster or the Golden Hamster.
