You can feed a dog lots of ways. The way I feed my dog is with a coffee cup and I feed my dogs Beneful cause it is the way to keep dogs happy and health but you can feed a dog anyway you want and feed them only dog food.

You are better sticking to puppy food, you are asking for trouble if you feed your puppy human food and will probably end up with a visit to the Vets if you are not careful.
