Cans of Raid will kill pests on contact but don't leave any residual poison, so whatever's not in the nest when you spray it will not be impacted.
From what I've read (I have a ground hornet problem, too) you need to use a dust insecticide like Drion Dust or Delta Dust, and a duster. According to the material I've found, you need to wait until dusk (when all hornets are in the nest and resting for the night), then pump in 6-7 puffs of this dust into the nest. The insecticide can kill for up to 8 months -- whatever does not die when you originally apply it will track the dust further back into the nest, and will kill other hornets that way (including themselves.)

Raid ant killer is not designed to kill squirrels. It is meant to target and kill ants specifically. Using raid ant killer on a squirrel would not be an effective or humane method of pest control. It's important to find alternative solutions for dealing with wildlife issues.

Air raids are where planes fly over cities or towns and bomb them. There is no raid as such, but the place is bombed. This is why there are places called air raid shelters, either steadily built above ground or dug in below ground where people could hide from the bombing.
