When they bleed as if they're on a period.
Answer:
Cats do not bleed, nor do they get periods.
A cat in season will become unusually affectionate to everyone and everything, rubbing up against furniture, stuffed toys, other cats, and even her human owner. She may also spend excessive time licking her genital area and will often assume a mating position with her front body bent and her hind legs and tail raised. She will tread the ground with her back paws, also. She will vocalize loudly at all hours in the day and night, and will attempt to escape outside at every opportunity so she can find a mate.
This "calling" may go on for several days, and then repeat the process again in two to three weeks unless she mates or is spayed.
A kitten can go into heat as young as 4 months, sometimes younger. You'll notice certain traits such as meowing very loudly and often. This is called "calling", she's calling for a mate. This can go on for several days. Mine is gowing through her first time right now, she is about 6 months. You may also notice her rubbing against things, being overly affectionate. Lowering her head and raising her butt in the air. Also may notice her legs moving, as if she is walking but not moving. She may spray vertical surfaces. You will know it when it happens, the liquid spray has a very strong smell. This heat cycle will repeat itself about every 2-3 weeks until she is bred or spayed. It is suggested you get her spayed ASAP as it will reduce many things such as cancer and such. =) Good luck! Question below is WRONG - If it's still a kitten it shouldn't be on heat. Take her to the vet and ask how soon it will be necessary to have her neutered.
A cat in heat will become much more affectionate with everything she comes across, she will howl an call day and night and will attempt to escape outside at every opportunity she sees in order to find a mate. She will often present her rear end and keep the front half of her body close to the ground, and tread with her back feet. Females cats in heat will also spray vertical surfaces in the house in order to attract a mate.
A kitten cant be on heat only a cat
the cat may:
1.Be meowing a lot
2.Be rolling around
3.Wanting to go outside
When your cat is in heat she keeps bouncing her back paws like she's walking only with her back paws.
You can't tell if they will be fluffy or not. As the kitten gets older it will get easier to tell if the kitten is longhaired or shorthaired, but in very young kittens it is very difficult to tell.

That's a funny question. I'm not sure because I don't know your kitten or cat but my best guess is that the kitten is still not fully weaned yet and still wants to suck his/her mother's milk. The kitten must've mistaken it.
Yes, Sometimes the female will mate with a male, not long after you give away her babies, or they grow up. She may do this. My cats did.
Yes. It is possible for female cats as young as 4 months old to start her first heat cycle. It is recommended that cats should be spayed before six months to prevent any unwanted behaviour or chance of a kitten becoming pregnant.
How would we know? I hope you find your kitten soon.
bathe them or get them fixed
There is no word for a "young kitten" that I know of, and 'kitten' is usually used to describe a young cat.
No. There is nothing you can do. Wait until the cat's heat stops and get her spayed.
As long as it is in heat AND goes through sexual intercourse.
Go to the vet
This soley depends on the vet. Some vets will spay a cat while in heat, while others will not, due to the increased chance of the cat bleeding out during the procedure. It is best to spay the kitten before its first heat to decrease the chance of unwanted spraying.
Your kitten will have a litter when it is a cat, not a kitten. Cats will have kitties when they are in heat (sexually active) around the 6th month to the 9th month of their life. That time if they mate they will have kitties. :) Your cat will only have kitties if you haven't spayed it yet.
Cats/Kittens do not only purr when they are happy, they also purr when they are bored, annoyed or angry so your kitten might not actually like the cat. But as to why your kitten does not purr to you I do not really know. Some kittens have such a soft purr you can not hear it unless you feel its throat. But it may just not feel affectionate, try putting your kitten in a nice sunny spot and then pet it, you never know! Is the kitten a male/ has it been neutered. you older cat might have been in heat and now it is not.

actually if your kitten does not go to it it means that either it does not know where it is or it does not have a very useful brain.
