I guess you would need basic items if you have a horse. A feed bag, curry brush, etc. are good horse items for horse people.
While it's not totally nessessary, it is a great deal easier to have a round pen. You should also have a "stick and string", also known as a "handy stick" or a "carrot stick", or a lariat to use as an extension of your arm to encourage the horse to go. And you should know about body language and what to look for. That's about it. I don't know what it's called but you need this thing that's kind of like a big stick. A crop would probably work. You also have to know how to use body language that a horse would understand.
No schooling, but it sure does help to know alot about horses.
well by being a good horse owner you need to play with your horse and be kind to it like giving it healthy food and letting it exercise and dont make it feal like a slave
It depends where you ride. If you are having lessons at your house then yes you will probably need your own horse. But if you are going to a riding centre then usually you will not need a horse of your own.

You will need grooming supplies including brushes and hoof picks. You'll need tons of buckets for food and water, training equipment such as a lunge line and lunge cavesson are recommended. Tack is another, then there is first aid supplies and horse clothing. I suggest calling a local stable and ask to visit the farm and see what you'd need for a horse.
Brushes, Hoof pick, quality grain, horse grade hay, fresh water. Basic medical supplies - bandages, wraps, disinfectant.
There is a site with exactly that name that reviews horse tacks as well as other riders supplies that one would need and want if they own and ride a horse.

You don't really need to know, but with some shows if you have a pony there are classes that you need a special height. Also the bigger the horse the bigger the horses stride, and a horse with a bigger stride is more for huntseat than western.
