You would know if coral is under physical stress if it is bleached. Coral bleaching occurs when the coral polyps (the miniscule animals that coral is made of) expel their algal cells, and the coral looks white. If the coral stays bleached for too long, then it can die.
If you've ever seen Finding Nemo(very good film, I would totally recommend it by the way!!) then you should know that Marvin and Nemo live together in an Annemmea, which isn't a coral at all, more of a .. under water plant if you know what I mean. If you have clown fish, and you are wondering what to put in there tank, then I suggest you go down to your nearest pet store(Seapets are good) and they will be only to happy to help. Then, once theyve suggested the best coral, they might even have some in stock!! Hope this helpsMoi123 xox
I haven't found any sources as to why they are called that. Often people find a new animal and just come up with a cool name for it without much deep meaning. If I had to guess, I would think that this is why:Coral in the ocean is very colorful and vivid. They come in many shapes, colors, sizes, and types. Corals can also be dangerous. They have a very hard exterior that can cause damage. I also know that some corals are poisonous and can cause sickness. There are SEVERAL types of coral snakes and they are known for their vivid colors. They come in different sizes, many different colors, and live in many different environments. Although beautiful, like the coral, they are very dangerous and deadly. So, I imagine "Coral snake" is a comparison between coral and this snake. Both are beautiful but deadly.
garter snake - in Sunday Express crossword 2nd N ov o8
One snake was called a "Two-step" by GI's, because the word was you could only walk two steps after being bitten before you died. This may have been a myth to keep GI's alert in the bush, because there are no known snakes in the world that can kill that fast. We know it as a coral snake. The fastest known killer, Africa's Black Mamba, can kill in about 2-1/2 minutes if bitten directly into a major artery or vein that goes straight to the heart. Anyways, the Coral snake are a large group of elapid snakes that can be subdivided into two distinct groups, Old World coral snakes and New World coral snakes. Red on yellow is the term that the snake is real and red on black is a snake that looks like a coral snakes.
Yes. Corn snakes can be pink, coral, or opal among other colors. I don't know about other snakes but I'm sure there are others out there somewhere
This process is called bleaching, as it turns the corals white. I dont know why it is da, as I dont know what da means.
Animals >>>>>>>>>> Invertebrates >>>>>>>>>>> Jellyfish>>>>>>>>>>> CoralCoral comes under the kingdom Jellyfish, not starfish and sea urchins. I didn't know which one it came under but then i did some research and found out that jellyfish and coral are built in the same way so coral must be in the jellyfish kingdom.
i'm asking i don't know what's the answer
I don't know much about coral, I only know about Oral ! ;)
I know about dinosaurs and their habitats from reading about them. Scientists learn about dinosaurs and their habitats by studying fossils.
Well i know one of the habitats is the sea Anemones, it is a plant that has stingers on it that clown fish will actually live inside because the sting does not effect them but can affect any other creature which is why they must feel so safe inside them!
how caana scientist know when a coral reeef is in danger
Stress is a serious matter. If you are stressing too much you can cause physical pain to yourself. You should try to find a doctor that best suits yours needs because family members don't always know what's best.
they can damage the ocean but they can also become inhabited by fish etc - making a new habitat. shipwrecks can damage the reef however and destroy coral and other habitats... dont know if this helped but yeah...
Out of the almost 800 species of coral we know about, 605 or 75% are native to the area known as the Coral Triangle.
i don't know how to answer this? :)
Yes! I believe that the sea is the one place on Earth we know NOTHING about! I really want to know more about the creatures, habitats, and ecosystems in the ocean. Not to mention plants, tides, and hydrothermal vents!
