You just have to be the boss. Every time the cat jumps up there either yell or act with a light smack to scare the cat down. You can use a squirt gun to shoot the cat with water every time it jumps up there.
Some people may tell you to put empty mouse traps on the counter to scare the cat. DO NOT DO THIS! They will very likely snap on the cat's feet or nose, injuring them.

∙ 14y agoOne of the best ways to stop cats from getting into places where you don't want them to is to make that place uncomfortable. Cats hate having anything on their paws, so most experts put little bits of double sided tape (or loops of regular tape with the sticky side out) onto the table top. The cat will hate getting tape stuck to itself, and will stop jumping onto the table because it will think there is still tape there!
You can also squirt the cat with a water bottle each time you see it on the table - the problem with this is that you need to be there whenever it jumps up.
