∙ 12y agoTell them how you would look after it, feed it, how you would clean out its litter and stuff. A kitten is a huge responsibility and a lot of work - they need to be played with and fed frequently throughout the day. Money is needed for vaccinations, spaying/neutering, monthly food and litter bills, and for any emergancy trips to the vet.

∙ 14y agoConvincing parents to get you a pet can be difficult. Most parents worry that their children will get tired of the pet and start neglecting it. Also, many kids tire of the pet and leave the cleaning of the pet to the parents. Start by doing all your jobs earnestly, whether you like doing them or not. Try to show your mom that you really are responsible. Talk to your parents about how you really want to share your home with a furry friend and how you are willing to take up the huge responsibility of caring for a pet. Start interacting with animals. Maybe you can feed some birds near your home everyday to show your parents that you really do care. The whole thing is that you MUST be responsible. Dont do your stuff diligently till your mom buys you a pet and stop afterward, try and make a contract to show that you will care for a pet. Most importantly, be sure that YOUare mature and responsible enough and that you have the time for a pet. Pets are lovely companions but a lot of work goes into keeping them healthy and happy.
