∙ 14y agoI have been in the dry cleaning industry for 13 years now and can tell you with almost 100% certainty that regardless of what treatment you try on velvet, you will damage the velvet pile.
Velvet is not a natural material. It is created by the blending of several base materials including silk and cotton therefore making stain treatment impossible without incuring damage. Even the slightest abrasive action will also result in damage.
This is one that, i am sorry to state, cannot be won.

∙ 14y agoMy recommendation is to try Anti Icky Poo, a product that has been on the market for many years and really helps to remove stains by using a live bacteria to destroy any organic material (such as urine, vomit, and feces) left behind by dogs and cats in fabrics. I would test it on a small (and fairly inconspicuous) area first. You spray the liquid on the affected area and let it dry. Here's a website with more information about Anti Icky Poo:
