You could try putting some stuff that tastes bad on the horses tail to discourage the other horse from eating the tail or put a plastic muzzle on him, but that would mean stopping him from grazing. EDIT - I agree. Some things I've heard of people using are tartar sauce, soy sauce, or hot sauce. On a scale of best working to least, i'd rate them: 1st: Hot sauce, 2nd: Tartar, 3rd: Soy
Horses are know for their appetites. THey are constantly eating whenever they get the chance. "Hungry as a horse" and "eat like a horse" made good similies for a person with a big appetite.

Unfortunately, not much. Once the goat has decided that its fun to eat the horse's tail all you can do is wrap the tail or separate horse and goat.
It's where a tendon in the horses hock tightens ( pulling the leg up involuntary). It's not painful for the horse it's just complicated and can cause the horse to trip more easily. It's mostly caused from horses eating a lump some of dandelions. It is curable by exercising the horse by walking/ jogging up and down hills to really stretch that leg out. Or a horse can go through surgery to have that tendon removed.
Eating horses used to be permitted in the early days of Islam. As horses were needed in battles, eating them was prohibited.
