A female pig (gilt) will have a vulva located under the anus right under the tail. The male pig (boar) has two testicles under the tail right before the space between the legs, and will have a sheath on the belly (midway) were the penis extends and urine is eliminated from the system. Male pigs, boars that have had their testicles removed are call barrows. If a male is left intact (testicles left in the body) the meat will stink and not be very good to eat, this happens when the male reaches puberty.
