usually salt water turtles live in the sea, so they are bigger, and usually have no claws, just flippers. it's very unlikely that you have a saltwater
WELL,YOU CAN TELL BY LOOKING AT A MAP THAT FLORIDA IS A PANENSULA.SINMDE IT IS,THE PACIFIC OCEAN IS AROUND THREE SIDES OF IT AND THE AREA THAT IT IS IN,IT IS USUALLY SALT WATER.
Here's a description of a snapping turtle: large head, long thick neck and back of shell has sawtooth edge. The height of the head end is a lot bigger than the tail end. There is a good picture on the "Nova Scotia Turtles" page of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History website. Scroll to the bottom of the Museum website and click Nova Scotia Nature; scroll to the bottom and click on Nova Scotia Turtles, Click on "fresh water turtles" and scroll down to Snapping turtle.
Yeahh actually there is, its called desalination. But if youu find any more answers please do tell us cuz i need this for colledge h/w pleasee help me,Caitlin J. xxYou can take out salt out of salt water in a process called distillation.
why should i tell you loser
Turtles don't get pregnant, they lay eggs.

Tap water is fresh water. The phrase "fresh water" refers to water with very little or no salt in it (as opposed to salt water, such as is found in oceans). Tap water contains little or no salt, and is therefore fresh water.
Salt water has higher density than the body of a person who floats on it, but the person's body may sink in less dense fresh water.
By the salinity or salt level in the water which can be measure by a number of devices most commonly the hydrometer or refractometer.
The density of the fresh water is less than the density of the salt water.

I have a fresh water pool that I am thinking of converting to a Salt Water system. My neighbors tell me that they have little or no maintenance with their Salt system. The question I have is if I convert to a salt system why do I have to spend $1,000 on a Chlorine Generator.? If I add the salt, to change the softness and control the Algae then instead of purchasing a Chlorine Generator and paying the electricity costs why don't I just use my present automatic chlorinator with Chlorine Tablets? After a process called electrolysis is using the box of electronics breaks down the salt in the salt water In a salt system the electronic box is connected to the electrodes in the "Cell". So my point is that instead of generating chlorine from salt why don't I just add it like I don now with my fresh water system..
I don't know, because it is not true the amount of salt that is used in a salt water pool while slightly more corrosive then fresh water (About the same amount of salt as you find in tears) will not cause any appreciable damage to modern pool equipment as it is made for salt water pools, salt water pool being by far the most common pool these days.
Springs are simply freshwater. But some of the fish, if any, in springs are salt and fresh water fish. Think of ponds and rivers and lakes. Those are all freshwater too. One more fact that I have to tell you is that water should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry place.
The density of a salt water solution compared against the densities of "pure" water and salt provides an approximate value of the ratio of water to salt in the mixture.
