There are many ways to keep a cat from urinating in the same area again and again. The main reason they return the same spot is that they have put their sent there. As with Dogs they will recognise their own sent and return to that spot again and again. The best way to stop this behaviour is to remove their sent from the area and replace it with one that will repel the cat. There are many ways to repel a cat, here are just a few: * black pepper * blood meal fertilizer * catnip * cinnamon * citrus peels * citrus spray * cocoa bean shells * coffee grounds -fresh & unbrewed * essence of orange * essence of lemon or lime (citrus essential oils) * garlic cloves * lavender * pinecones * red wine * vinegar
If none of these work, it is also possible to teach your cat not to return to a certain area by squirting a little water near them when they look like they are going to urinate in the area. Only use a little water and do not aim for the cat's face, or fire repeatedly. It is easier to use a water pistol or a garden squirter to gain the desired effect.
Bitter apple spray worked well for us, but it was one or two specific areas of the carpet. It may not be a feasible solution if it is a very large area that's being chewed on. Should be able to find it at any pet store and places like Wal-Mart and Target.
Dogs typically stop going into heat when they reach old age, around 7-10 years old. However, this can vary depending on the breed and individual dog. Spaying can also prevent a dog from going into heat.
Never move the litter box if possible. Some cats are just lazy and go where they want or may smell an old pee spot and decide to mark it again. When your cat does this take a clean spray bottle with cold water and give her a good squirt with it and it shouldn't take long to stop her from doing this. The problem is they are so sneaky and you don't always see them do this. Every time you see a pee spot scold the cat 'Shame!' Then carry her to the litter box. Trust me ... it's a Mexican stand-off, but if you persist you will win. Your pets should have a general physical by your vets once a year so it may be a good idea to talk to the vet about it and be sure there are no urinary tract or bladder problems. If there is there are medications for it.
A female cat will typically stop being in heat once she successfully mates and becomes pregnant. If she does not mate, she will continue to cycle in and out of heat until she does. If she does not become pregnant, she may experience a rest period before going into heat again.

Keep him under close supervision. Immediately when he starts to go, grab him and take him outside to his pee spot. He'll figure it out soon enough.
Clean it thoroughly and perhaps put a piece of furniture over that site for awhile. Another possiblity might be to put the litter box closer to that offending site.
It's an interesting theory, but I wouldn't rely on it. I would try and train it the best way you can to stop it from happening. Good luck!

One of the most important steps in preventing your pup from peeing in your bed is to make sure that your pup always has access to a potty spot. Place newspaper or puppy pads on the spot and reward your pup for going in the designated area.
It sounds like you are in a hard spot in your life. If your parents can prove to a judge that is best for the child to stay there, they can't stop you from going, they can however keep you from taking your baby if you are unable to care for it.
