until they are pullets, pullets are chickens who lost their baby feathers and grew quite a bit but will still have some baby feathers. if u have other chickens outside put them out and watch em for like half and observe how well they interasct with the others.
It really depends on the breed of chicken and where u live. I have 2 white leghorns and live in southern cali. There outside full time at 4 weeks old it really depends how warm it is though. Definitely at 6-7 weeks they should be fine outside full time. If you are lucky enough to have a broody hen let her do the job. Most Banties are very good brooders. Leghorns are very bad brooders.
The chicks can go in with the main flock at about 12 to 16 weeks old. As long as there is a place for them to run to and be safe. The chicks will be subject to the "pecking order" and must learn their place within the flock, so they will be subject to some abuse. They need to have a place to run away to and hide so it is best to set this up first before introducing them to the flock. I use 6 small square hay bales and set it up with spaces in between the bales, large enough for the small birds to get in but too small for the adults to follow.
For chicks artificially incubated you should drop the temperature in the brooder box by about 2 degrees each day until the heat in the box reaches ambient outside temperatures. Chicks should be kept separate until they are fully feathered or until about 8 weeks old. This is more for safety from the adult flock than for health.
Brooded naturally, the broody hen will take care of the chicks for about 6 to 10 weeks.
How old do chicks need to be, before they can go in the pin with the older chicks. I have some chicks that are 2 mths that are living in the pin now and some that are 1 mth old.
once they are hatched and dry they CAN go outside, but after 5 weeks them and there brooder can be moved outdoors.
Chicks should be at LEAST 7 months old before integration with an adult flock.
9 weeks-18 weeks

When can young chicks go outside
Poults, baby turkeys, usually need the lamp longer. 2 to 3 weeks longer than baby chicks. Poults are very sensitive to cold weather.
Usually the heat lamp in a brooder box is used for the first two months. Chicks go into the brooder box within 24 hours of hatch and the temperature on day one is very close to the temperature of the incubator...95F. This temperature is maintained until the chicks are dry and fluffy and then it can be reduced weekly by about 5 degrees until the temperature in the box is ambient to the outside temperature. Ideally about 70F.
Baby rabbits are viable in as little as a year. This means that rabbits will be able to reproduce safely at a year old.
it depends on what kind, for example, the emperor penguin takes care of it's chicks for up to 5 months then the chicks can go out to sea.
Do you mean: How long between the egg is laid and when the baby hatches OR how long does it take a baby to peck its way through the egg shell? Either Q, the answer will depend on the type of bird. I read that Blue birds will hatch within about a week after the mother lays it. Where as I had a Kill-Dee who sat on her eggs for almost 3 weeks---but her chicks were almost ready to run on their own within a day or two(they don't fly much).
you need to take the chicks away it wont be long before the mama takes the ducklings into water and the chicks will not survive
Around 3-4 inches from head to tail.
The average is 4 to 8 weeks
YES, as long as they have some type of shelter to go to... They will be fine outside, having a rooster helps a ton!
Male emus care for the young chicks for 4-5 months. The female emu has no part in raising the chicks.
The Chicks only have to stay in the Incubator until they appear bright, aware and active. Make sure they are fluffy and dry before taking them out however. Once the Chicks are out the incubator place them in a safe container/box with a heat lamp.
Movement. Chicks are curious and anything that moves may be a source of food. The hen will not put up with this type of behavior long and the chick(s) will learn a valuable lesson quickly.
If you want to ask how long a chick (baby chicken) is in an egg for, it is usually around 21 days depending on the breed etc.
Sheep can survive without food for a couple of days. This may vary depending on the type of sheep. It is said that sheep can last even longer without water for up to 3 weeks.
I would not recommend feeding a beardy chicks, no matter how young the chicks are. if you don't want to feed them insects, you can feed them pinkies (baby rats, mice, gerbil, or hamster) as long as the pinkie is no longer than the width of the widest part of the beardy's head
until der nice and fat or until you start to see running rosted chickens
