Ushally it will take a chicken about 1 or 2 days before another egg is layed but if you let kids and dogs and other animals chase the chickens it will be stressed out and it will take longer for the chicken to lay an egg which is about up to 3 or 4 day to lay another.

It is a long process and can take years. You need to have a plan detailing those traits you wish to attain or remove from you breeding stock. Begin with the best birds that you can get. It's easier to start with quality chickens than to breed unwanted traits out of a poor quality grandparent flock of birds. Keep accurate records to control mating. Identify and mark the best of the birds with the qualities desired. Never keep chickens with unwanted traits, cull or separate those without those desired traits.
It would still take 21 days for 14 chickens to lay 14 eggs, assuming each chicken lays one egg per day. The number of chickens doesn't affect the time it takes each chicken to lay one egg.

It will take time and calm. Just be patient, chickens don't have a long memory and will soon get back to normal routine.
