I just came across this tid-bit, searching information on doves. Wild doves typically live 3 to 5 years, while their captive counterparts can live 12 to 15 years. There was some mention that a captive dove lived 20 plus years ... neat. Additionally, this is general information and apparently, there are 200 plus species of doves, so the information is to be taken as general.My pet white ringneck dove just died. I have had him for 32 years, 3 months. I don't know how old he was when we got him from the pet store. His mate died over ten years ago.
