The arachnid in general, lives for about 3 months on average.

More Information:

A 3 month life span is certainly true of some arachnids. However, arachnids exhibit a wide variety of life spans and for many species we simply don't know how long they live. Therefore, we really can't know what the averages are. Following is lifespan information on some arachnids:

Adult "pseudoscorpions" (or "false scorpions") live 2 to 3 years.

The known life spans of scorpions vary considerably, approximately 4-25 years. The maximum reported life span belongs to the Desert Hairy Scorpion, Hadrurus arizonensis.

For spiders, the female Mexican Red kneed tarantula, Brachypelma smithi, probably holds the record. An individual, still alive, is definitely greater than 40, and probably less than 50, years old.
