Usually when the days start shortening. It has to do with the amount of hours of sun light. Goats want to kid in the winter when their are less germs and pests to attack their babies fragile immune systems. Some breeds can come into heat any time a buck is in rut. Most bucks can not produce sperm in very hot weather, so again usually when the daylight stays waning.
