'Shark' is the collective name for a type of fish, so there is no collective life span. However, here are the life spans of the more well known sharks
Great White- Unknown, however it is believed to be around 100 years
Tiger Shark- 11 years
Hammerhead Shark- 25 years
Nurse shark- 25 years
I do not know why the Great White life expectancy is so much higher than the others.
Great White Shark - Some people estimate it to be about 100 years, but this has not been proven.
Tiger shark - Perhaps 30 - 40 years.
Nurse shark - Life span is about 25 years (in captivity).
Spiny Dogfish shark - Estimated 25-100 years.
Whale shark - Estimated 100 - 150 years.
Many of the other shark's life spans are unknown.
This is harder to answer than it seems. Sharks are fish - and as most fish, they continue to grow through their lives. They do not die of old age, but due to disease, predators, starvation, injury etc. Outside of captivity, most types sharks have an unknown lifespan. In captivity they live much. much shorter lives (as much as only a quater).
The whale shark has been know to live to around 150 years, which is as good a guess as any.
Many shark lifespans are still widely unknown. Not many people realise that there is so much we actually don't know about our oceans. Much of it is theorised, like outer space.
They can live up to 20-30 years old. A Whale Shark can live well over 100 years of age. Dogfish can live to be around 100 too.
Your Welcome!
There are many different species of sharks in our oceans. Each breed has a different expected length of life.
20-30 years
an angel shark can live up to 50 years
Some sharks,( like the White shark) live to be in their fifties. Though for most shark species the answer is uncertain.
Sharks generally live from 20 to 30 years. The spiny dogfish shark and the whale shark have been known to live over 100 years.
This question I think is too broad. If you're thinking of the longest time of any shark, then the spiny dogfish with more than 100 years. But if you're asking average, I really don't know and I'd have to guess about 40-70. Some live long, like to 100, some live short, to 40, but for the record I said 60. :P
its a mouse from shark bay (hence the name)
first of all it would be 'how long do lantern sharks live?' or 'how long does the average lantern shark live?' you illiterate person. and usually they live up to 40-50 years.
How long does megamouth live
Sharks live mostly in the water because sharks are fishes, they live in oceans, rivers and lakes.Shark's live in the Ocean. The bull shark and the Greenland shark can live in rivers for long periods.
25 years

Horn sharks live to about 12 years.
They live up to 100 years old
Not very long. A shark cannot breathe out of water, a goat cannot breathe underwater, and many species of shark will eat the goat.
it depends on the shark but probably on average 10-15 ft.
40 to 50 years
