Why would a puppy be blind?

Throw a cotton ball in front of his face, if he looks at it then he has vision, if he does not look at it, then he is blind. Use a cotton ball because he will not be able to hear it hit the ground.

Are kittens born deaf?

Yes, kittens are born deaf. Their ear canals are closed at birth and typically open within the first week or two. Kittens' hearing fully develops around 2-3 weeks of age.

How do you buy a retired service dog?

Retired service dogs are not for sale. Each disabled, blind or deaf person makes a decision as to where their retired partner will live after they retire.

Can puppies suffer from deafness?

O yes.. My dog has become deaf over the years so its not uncommon. Just make sure you have their attention at all times. Dont let them by themselves on the streets. So yea. Main cause may be, Poor breeding, illnesses, and birth defects or loud noise can affect the puppies. ------- My 10 mth puppy is deaf and has been since we got her. It is very interesting though, because she will not let use out of her sight so we never really have to worry about her running off and not being able to call her. Deaf dogs have perks too, she can't hear so she isn't constantly barking. Dont be discouraged if you get a deaf puppy, they can be just as easy to train and wonderful dogs.
