The lifespan of weiros, also known as cockatiels, can vary depending on various factors such as genetics, diet, and living conditions. On average, weiros can live for about 15 to 25 years in captivity with proper care and attention. However, some weiros have been known to live up to 30 years or more with exceptional care and a healthy environment.

Weiros (Cockatiels) eat a combination of seeds and fresh fruit such as apple, grapes, watermellon(rearly) and pear and they enjoy sun flour seeds as well.
My weiro had lived in inside with us for 8 years before I built a big aviary and put 2 weiros and two budgies in with him. It took a few weeks for him to figure he was a bird and not human (although I did spend a lot of time in there with him for the first couple of weeks) but he now is fine with the other birds. He still isn't 'chummy' with them but they don't fight. I make sure he still has the same toys and a constant supply of new boxes and paper to keep him happy.
