You should only have 1 fish per gallon of water in a fish tank. I wouldn't put more than 2 or 3 Neon Tetras in a 4 gallon aquarium with 1 Betta.

Will 3 guppies and 3 neon tetras do well in a 10 gallon tank or do you need more tetras?

That is fine. You might consider getting some corydoras catfish.

Can you have a fish tank with 18 neon tetras and 2 large goldfish?

No, Neon Tetras and Goldfish do not belong in the same tank. Goldfish prefer cold water, while Tetras are more of a tropical fish.

Can you put a lizard with a male betta fish?

NO!!! Lizards should only be kept with other lizards of their own species. Some kinds of lizards are fine by themselves. Waste from the lizard is poisonous to fish. Also, Lizards do not need a lot of water, where would the fish go? Lizards don't swim. The lizard would eat the fish. Male betta fish are best housed by themselves, or in a 10 gallon or bigger tank with neon tetras, or other gentle community fish. Also, never house a male betta with another male betta, or a female betta. They will fight until their death. Females can be kept together. Three do fine in a ten gallon tank. NEVER put bettas with fish that have long flowing or colorful fins, the betta will mistake it for another betta and kill it.

What is the best kind of fish for 30 gallon aquarium?

Your choice, check out your local pet store to see what you like. Check with the staff if you have any compatibility questions regarding putting different groups of fish together. If this is your first tank, start with a few community fish. A 30 gallon tank is a good size, easy to maintain, and large enough to enjoy many different fish. I started out with 2 - 30 gallon tanks, I've kept one tank with all different types of tetras (bleeding heart, glo-lite, neon, serpae, headlight/taillight, etc.) for over 20 years. Good luck.

What kind of food do neon fish eat?

Assuming that you are referring to neon tetras, there are several brands of commercial "Tetra Flakes" that can be bought at nearly every pet store. I believe that there is also a pellet version of "Tetra Flakes".

Can you keep Betta fish with Neon Tetra fish?

You can put at least 5 neon tetras with Betta's because neon tetras need to be in a school. If you only put 1-3 neon tetras, then they will probably be eaten by the Betta because you won't have enough neon tetras to be in a school. The purpose for a school is to protect themselves from predators with a group and if you only have 1-3 neon tetras, then they will hide and get really stressed out. So, get at least 5 neon tetras and another important thing is, get a big enough tank for your Betta and neon tetra. That is, because, as you know, Betta fish are territorial and need their own territory and if the neon tetras enter their territory (if the tank is small), then the Betta will probably attack (that is only if you don't have enough neon tetras and not a big enough tank). So, it is important to get at least a 10- 15 gallon tank and get at least 5 neon tetras for 1 Betta fish. 1-3 neon tetras won't work. They will not be in a school and will be stressed out and hide from the Betta. A thing about neon tetras that is interesting and is cool is that, neon tetras bury their eggs in the gravel (Make sure to only have gravel!) if their eggs are not going to hatch. Also eat them.~Thank you, and good luck!~

How many neon tetras can be kept with a betta in a 1 12 gallon tank?

Bettas are generally kept in their own private tank, since they can be quite vicious to other fish.

Can you put 1 male betta with two neon tetras in a 1.5 gallon tank?

1.5 Gallon? That is a small tank even for a betta and two neon tetras. A typical rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water, so you should only have 1.5 inch of fish. A betta is 2 inches or more, so the neons would be asking for trouble. Both type of fish are great, so my advice would be to get a bigger tank and put them together. Neons are schooling fish and would like to be in groups of three or more.

What type of fish can you keep in a 31X18X24cm aquarium with a filter?

That is not a very large aquarium, so a shoal of neon tetras would work well
