Chicks can take from 12 to 16 weeks to reach full size At about 7 weeks they will look grown but continue to develop and grow larger. A chicken is called a pullet until it reaches a full year.

I have provided a link that shows a chick growing from day one though to 16 weeks.

I raise meat chickens, the cornish cross type, and they will go from chick to 8 pounds or so in about 8 or 9 weeks. They start keeling over if they go more than about 12 weeks because there bodies can't handle the stress. The mixed males of standard breeds I have raised in the past do take about 14 weeks to reach butchering size. They are done, when I hear the first crows because the hormones start to increase and the meat gets tough.
