Wait a minute.. Your dimensions are much bigger than any of my tank's. My largest tank is 32 gallons. It measures 15" x 14" x 36". Multiply the 3 numbers you have (20.5 x 49.5 x 16). I came up with 16, 236. When the dimensions are multiplied, you have to remember that the answer changes (converts) from inches to cubic inches. That was the hard part. There are only 231 cubic inches in a gallon and you have over 16,000 cubic inches! That is one big tank. Now you can just divide 16,236 by 231 to get an answer.

(16,236 cubic inches )/ 231(cubic inches per gallon) = 70. 2857 Gallons. <-- nice tank!
