There is an unestimated amount of hairs on a lion because every lion has a different number of hairs. If i were to estimate it it would probably be over a million.
Yes and No; dependent on the situation involved. This question depends on many factors; Lion's state of health, Dog's state of health, Number of Dogs in the pack - each of which swing the possibilities. One on One a Lion would win a closed ring match with a dog (even a Hyena) if both were healthy, the odds however go down based on the factors given above.
Currently there are only two species/breeds of lions that are alive. They are the African Lion and the Asiatic Lion. Other species of Lions like the European Lion, the American Cave Lion and the Barbary Lion were all hunted to extinction centuries ago.
There are two species of lions that are classified as Endangered by the IUCN Red List: the Asiatic lion (Panthera leo persica) and the West African lion (Panthera leo leo). The overall lion population is decreasing due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict.
African lions are reported to kill 70 people per year. Tigers also in the lion family, are estimated to kill about 100 people per year.

Penguins are not equipped to kill a lion, as they are much smaller and not predators in the same way lions are. It would likely take an unrealistic and impossible number of penguins to overpower and kill a lion.
