Needless to say, the other native wildlife populations are now teetering on the brink of extinction because of this non-native species. Moose in the Tetons, Yellowstone, and the Bitter Roots are a memory. The cow/calf ratio for the Bitter Roots was a healthy 33 calves to 100 cows. The current cow calf ratio is 2.5 calves to 100 cows. Deer populations are at an all time low, with the highest populations in some areas in towns!
Love the wolf, but please LOVE THE OTHER ANIMALS ALSO. Protect the wolves, but please PROTECT THE OTHER ANIMALS ALSO. Vote to implement a well-managed, controlled hunt to help balance out the imbalance created by man.
Yes, owls do eat grasshoppers. Grasshoppers are part of an owl's diet, especially for smaller owl species like screech owls and burrowing owls. Owls are opportunistic hunters and will consume a variety of prey depending on availability.
Because owls are wise..... I guess..
In some cultures, owls are consumed as food, but it is not a common practice. Owls are often seen as symbols of wisdom and are protected in many areas. Eating owls is generally discouraged due to their role in controlling pest populations and maintaining ecological balance.
Owls aren't among the social birds, which are considered intelligent. Owls are mainly solitary. While they are marvellously adapted predators, their behaviour is very hardwired, and their vocalisation limited. Owls have many special attributes, but being avian eggheads isn’t one of them.
Owls are not a sign of evil. In mythology they are associated with wisdom. In realtiy, owls eat a lot of mice. This is a good thing, since mice are a troublesome kind of vermin which often eat grain that people are trying to store.
i like owls very much. people think owls are smart because they have large eyes and see alot, owls can not move there eyes they have to move there heads. that's were people think owls can turn there heads in a 360 degree angle but they can only go up to 190.
Many people tend to dislike owls because of paranoia, superstitious beliefs, or past experiences.
They do. That's generally what people with pet snakes feed them. There are predatory birds that like them too. Many people use fake owls as scarecrows.
Owls are edible, but as they are not commonly consumed in the US, and many species are, in fact, protected.
The people (the stupid masses) stare at barn owls and then the owls fall over and die.
Other owls.

you ask "What do owls look like." unless they changed it, it should have an option to say that the question you asked is not the same as the one it says. sorry if that was confusing...
There are many reasons. Woods have lots of other animals that the owls can eat. Shelter and nesting materials are easily available in the trees. They are unlikely to be disturbed by humans. Other owls like it there, so they can find a mate.
