Why do cats sulk?

Cats may sulk due to stress, illness, changes in their environment, or feeling neglected. They may hide or avoid interaction when they are feeling upset or anxious. It's important to observe your cat's behavior and consult with a veterinarian if you notice prolonged sulking.

What are signs that a cat is pregnant?

She starts eating a lot and the sides of her stomach get visible bigger. Not so normal signs, she'll protest and/or try to bite you if you pet her stomach, she might start acting strange (you know, hormones and stuff) and be cranky most of the time of sulk around. Basically a difference in behavior. After she's a bit along, I don't think you could not notice that she's pregnant.

Do pet rats have to be with other rats?

No, but they will definitely be happier if they are. My adult rat was about two years old when we first got her a cage mate. She was more active and gentler than ever before. If you only have one rat and don't handle it often, it becomes antisocial and very aggressive. If you don't play with it very often, get it a cage mate.A:Yes! Most good breeders will NOT sell you a single rat unless they know you and know you have other rats. Rats are extremely social creatures and they need companionship of their own species. They are under a lot of stress when there aren't any other rats around and single rats are more likely to become sick. If you have a single rat, you should be willing to put in a minimum of 4 hours per day with them. Rats are the third most intelligent animal after humans and Chimps (the only species other than those two to exhibit problem solving capabilities) and they get lonely and depressed. A:it really does not matter because it would be happier with a mate to play with but sometimes they could kill one another but it does not usally happen. It is entirely up to you because ethier way your rat will be just as happy as long as it is loved and well looked after.A:Yes, they get lonely even if you spend every minute with them. Rats are extremely social and they need other rats to keep as companions. Single rats can become sick.I would, if i were you it's much more fun and they get lonely easily, my rats hate to be separated for more than 10 minutes, they go and sulk in the corner or run round in circles sniffing and making funny noises.

Do birds think?

Yes.More on thisOlfaction (smell) threshold in birds are shown to be much higher than those of mammals, Birds have a lower or worse sense of smell than mammals do. Clark (1991) cite Wenzel and Sieck (1972) Suggested that birds have an olfaction threshold range of 0.01 to 0.5 ppm, while the McKeegan study. (2002) report thresholds of 1 and 2.5 ppm for ammonia and hydrogen sulphide respectively in hens, Gallus domesticus.Contrast these results to human detection threshold for ammonia ranges from 0.0005 to 0.37 ppm and much lower threshold for hydrogen sulphide at 1×10E-7 to 0.0002 ppm (McKeegan study. 2002).So, yes , birds can smell things but it needs to be strong for them to notice.Hi, just to add a little more to this answer, there is really no "simple" answer to this question. The fairly wide spread myth that birds cannot smell was actually initiated / perpetuated by Audubon and experiments using turkey vultures. If there is a simple answer it would likely be "yes" and "no." The original answer provides the best information. However, for more on how the "Myth" began, as well as some other observations, have a look at the following article. :)http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1200/is_8_168/ai_n15393211/The average bird can smell not as good as humans but they still have the sense of smelling all birds can smell.

How do you punish your bunny?

You don't. The health and happiness of a dog is your responsibility, and a dog can eventually retaliate if annoyed too much, which could result in injury to you (or other people), and may cause the dog to lose its trust in you.
