You do have an awesome point(whoever wrote this) but I am guessing the hamster is a Teddy Bear Hamster. This is just a guess but I think it is correct!

it may be possible to exchange it, but not necessarily for a different hamster. i used to exchange hamsters with pets at home regularly, as i gave them my hamsters and they gave me food, bedding etc for my other hamsters or else theyd just give you a small amount of money.
