Ducks will probably fear larger organisms or predators. Ducks will have a natural fear of humans unless it is a pet duck and has been handled from a young age. Ducks will also fear random things like bread being chucked at them or being chased. Ducks can even fear other ducks if the dominant duck show aggression.
Ducks are easy prey. Raccoons killing pet ducks is a very common problem. Other predators include the fox, coyotes, bobcats, pet dogs, owls or anything that likes meat. You should always lock your ducks up at night.

If your pet duck came from a farm, chances are he is a domestic. If he came from the wild, he is a wild duck.
