You have to wait at least 20 to 40 days, AT LEAST!!!!!!
12 to 22 days
definitley syrian. they live longer and are waaay less wild then dwarf hamsters. the dwarfs we used to have batted bit and were wild. the syrians and teddy bear hamsters we had were calm and easy to take care of. First time owner: don't hold your hamster for the first couple of days or they may get wet tail :)
She is probably just scared. Some hamsters are just gentle hamsters and some hamsters HATE being around people so I am guessing that your hamster doesn't like being around people. :(
it could if its a boy and girl together or it may already be pregnant whlie at the pet shop my 2 hamsters had 10 babies and they could have it many times but if ur hamsters have babies DONT TOUCH THE BABIES!
Depending on which type of hamster you have they can have a litter from 2-3 or a litter larger than 15. But on average Dwarf hamsters have 10-13 pups, Syrian hamsters have 8-13 pups, and Teddy-bear hamsters have 15-17 pups. That's the averages but you can't predict because it might surprise you on how many they do have. Just plan for the most.
Yes they can, although not very high..their legs are too short. My male dwarf hamster does it all of the time when trying to escape his quarters.
About the same time that dwarf hamsters live
Chinese dwarf hamsters are the slowest of dwarf hamsters, they are easy to handle and I would recommend to anyone who is having a first time dwarf hamster.
Most of the time, i have 2 Chinese dwarf hamsters kept in the same cage and they are fine, Hope This Helps
Dwarf hamsters clean themselves. I own one and watch him clean himself all the time. Dwarf hamsters clean themselves by pulling both paws from the back of their neck forward.
They are both the same thing russian and siberian but there is a difference between russian hamsters and regular hamsters most of the time russian hamsters tend to bite more. hope that helped:)
All hamsters are pregnant the same time, or close enough to make no difference. Actually, Syrian hamsters have the quickest gestation period, at about 16 days. Dwarf hamsters are a little bit longer at about 18 days, but they can also go as long as 22 days. Hope i helped.
Only one is born at a time
Dwarf hamsters reach sexual maturity around 4-5 weeks, which means they can get pregnant at that time. If you do not want a bunch of pregnant "baby" hamsters you should separate them before 4-5 weeks. At 3 weeks they are weaned and don't need their mom anymore. You can find happy new homes at that time.
For a Syrian (non-dwarf) hamster, the length of gestation (pregnancy) averages 16 days. For dwarf hamsters, gestation is about 19 - 22 days Gotten from : http://kathyskritters.com/tales/faq/index.html
hamsters (dwarf especially, I've had experience)
I don't know if you mean eat worms or get worms but dwarf hamsters can get parasitic worms but they don't most of the time. If u meant eat worms, yes. All hamsters eat worms. Mine eats earthworms and loves them!
Dwarf hamsters generally have a gestation time of 18 to 30 days, 21 days being the average.
