My sister has a guinea pig so I know a lot! You need a cage, food, an igloo, a treat bowl, a food bowl, treats, toys, and a good heart to love your pet. Also get a brush! You said it is a rut so you need to feed it plenty! And guinea pigs LOVE hay so that will help him/her!
A hamburger! lol
seriously, some fresh milk, raw and straight from the farm, would do good:)
Go to 'Tractor Supply' or a farm type store. buy multi-animal Nurse all formula.
We use...
'Manna Pro' All Milk Nurse All for multiple species.. it's great. Great for dogs, cats, and 9 different farm animals.
New Born's require 'colostrum'. Tractor supply also sells a 'colostrum' fortified
formula.
You should feed a runt pig every 2-3 hours.
People say and I did this, to take the runt away from the other pigs ad keep it warm and if its a cold night to keep bedding over it such as old clothing.
No
Yes, this is okay to feed a guinea pig. Not the whole bar but a small chunk of it is okay to feed. Do not do it often or the piggy can get fat.
Most people think of the runt as the smallest animal in a litter. True runts are often deformed and most die shortly after birth. There are many factors that contribute to a runt: poor nutrition, size of litter, and genetic abnormalities.
no.. depending on the guinea pig wether they'll eat it or not
Nothing. A guinea pig isn't poisonous. I know, I have one.
The Runt
Maybe she was the runt of the litter. For kids; Runt=smallest My rat was the runt of the litter we believe.

There are quite a few words in Irish for 'runt': daimhín (ox) bóin (cow) raigín (horse) arcán (pig) runta (pigeon) abhaicín (person) cnádaí (person) bun (cabbage)
You can feed them both guinea pig food. Don't feed the guinea pig the rabbit food or it will be sick. Rabbits are ok on guinea pig food.
