My sister has a guinea pig so I know a lot! You need a cage, food, an igloo, a treat bowl, a food bowl, treats, toys, and a good heart to love your pet. Also get a brush! You said it is a rut so you need to feed it plenty! And guinea pigs LOVE hay so that will help him/her!

seriously, some fresh milk, raw and straight from the farm, would do good:)
Go to 'Tractor Supply' or a farm type store. buy multi-animal Nurse all formula.
We use...
'Manna Pro' All Milk Nurse All for multiple species.. it's great. Great for dogs, cats, and 9 different farm animals.
New Born's require 'colostrum'. Tractor supply also sells a 'colostrum' fortified
formula.

People say and I did this, to take the runt away from the other pigs ad keep it warm and if its a cold night to keep bedding over it such as old clothing.
