At least every 2 weeks. If you have the time they would like it changed once a week.
If the cage is too small take it back and get a new one! Never get anything hamster for a guinea pig. If you have a small cage then that means you got a hamster cage.
Using a large outdoor dog cage as a rabbit cage may not be ideal because the wire spacing could be too wide for small rabbits, allowing them to escape or get stuck. Additionally, the flooring of a dog cage may not be suitable for rabbits as it could hurt their delicate feet. It's best to use a cage specifically designed for rabbits to ensure their safety and comfort.
It depends what your cleaning it with. You cant just clean it with water and hope its clean. You can go to a pet store and buy a small animal safe cage cleaner. Its smells really good. Also you can bathe your hamsters (even though people say not too) witha small animal shampoo that a pet store sells. Just make sure your dry them completely with a blow dryer ASAP after washing them. It could also be their diet.
This is not grass, it is seed from the food you feed your pet. You should clean the hampsters cage, if you have seed growing, the cage is MUCH too dirty. You need to clean the cage every week, or your pet can become sick. Not to mention the bad smell it must have.
1. it is not called wet tail technically it is just diahria that is a deathly case. 2. if your rabbit gets this it could be because you didn't clean the cage on time and al of the urine and poop from the cage is infecting the rabbit and giving it this disease. or it could be from feeding it too much greens, bad food. baby bunnies tend to get this very often from being weaned too early.
Probably just in the same way as a non pregnant gerbil. Make sure she feels safe and secure in her cage and do not pick her up as it may harm the babies. Do not put too much woodshavings into the cage incase she gives birth because they might not be able to breathe and they may get buried and then die.
No! What you need to do is... *Wet a cloth with nice water not too hot and not too cold just nice and toasty *Put the Hamster/Gerbil on the cloth and wipe the cloth on your Hamster/Gerbil and dont put it by the face or eyes!!! *Turn the cloth over and put nice pet shampoo made for Rabbits,Guinea Pigs,Hamster, and Gerbil *Wipe the cltoh on the body rememeber not by the Head or Eyes! But you can clean the ears *And you Hamster/Gerbil is not Stinky
an 8 week old gerbil should poo often + jess is the gayest person i have ever met, she seriously NEEDS to be straightened out before tis too late + she rapes the poor 8 week old gerbil ox
It might be from being in their cage too long. Just take the hamster out for awhile and clean the cage and if it doesn't improve take it to the vet.
either they are fighting for dominancy or simply playing around. if you can hear a small squeak or them grinding their teeth before they fight, with their paws up, then you might want to separate them because that means their fighting for dominancy and you never know how far theyll go to get that dominancy. daeth doesnt usually happen, but i don't know if theyll kill each other. they might. omiai: as above, it can be proper fighting, but often gerbils fight for fun. Mine play a game with each other, they fight, then whoever wins gets to clean the other one. They enjoy it, and they have never harmed each other yet. But keep an eye on them, incase their fighting does turn nasty!
When handling your pet gerbil it is extremely important to take safety pro cautions. Always wash your hands before and after interaction. Not only should you handle your gerbil with care but too also shove it in your pants. Do this once or twice a day with your gerbil and the two of you will have the best relationship with your pet. enjoi!
They have flies there because no matter how much you clean your guinea pig's cage the smell of the feces will always be there unless you clean your cage every 2 weeks. Just use some soap and water. After about a year of having the same cage I find it more fun for the guinea pigs to get a new cage unless you get them out for about a hour each day. That way they don't get too bored.
Don't pick him/her up by the tail. You have to teach them to accept you picking them up. There are loads of tutorials online. Don scare them or chase them around their cage. Give them lots of things to chew and some (not too many!) treats. It takes a long time to do it so be patient and do whatever is best for you and your gerbil.
i suggest to use chinchila sand and put it in a box or a plastic bowl note: dont keep the bowl in the cage for too long
First thing is to keep the cage clean. Clean it out daily, put fresh litter in daily. Make sure the rabbit has fresh water and pellets too. Keep the cage clean and you will keep the rabbit clean. If you need to bathe him, use a shampoo made for cats and keep the shampoo out of the eyes.
they are sometimes metal because they cant escape.and if you get a wood block let them bite on it so they dont bite threw the metal and the wood will lower the teeth down to proper size and do that when they are too long.
first check if it has soft shiny fur and a clean nose if they don't you want to play with it and make it do energetic stuff but don't take it too far ( if wanted: treat them to a healthy treat each time) and make sure to keep the cage clean and don't keep it in its cage for too long. XD
