At age 2-3 cubs are left on their own, however lions work as a team in most cases within their pride to try to hunt. Lionesses are more often then the males likely to hunt and the prey is shared, however in most cases the older lions usually get priority, especially males and the smaller lions get the leftovers if any.

There is no specific age, although mature males if in the chance they hunt and kill the prey themselves they are most likely not going to share their food source. In almost all other cases the prey is shared.
