Like with all dogs, it greatly varies, depending on food, exercise, socialization, happiness and general health (cancer, bloat, etc would obviously increase your odds of an unhealthy dog.) But if you know how to take care of them, the humane society of America as well as all of the other sources have summed it up for about 10-12 years, although they can live significantly more or less.

Usually black labs live to be about 12-14. I have a black lab myself and sometimes they can get hip problems and might have to have surgery which might affect them.
