Rats can, have, and will bite human babies. It is important that babies and small children be secured against rat bites, which can carry rabies.
The best way to find out if your rat is old is to ask someone who works at the place your buying from! but if they don't know you can look at the size and teeth! you might be able to tell that way!!!!!!!!
3 days. they are so fragile
it may be a serois medical conditiion, ask a vet. is the rat old? is the bump big? is the lump swollen? is the bump on a patch of thin skin? where has your rat been? is the bump smooth or scaly or something else?
Babies should be 4 weeks old before dad gets introduced to them. Some dads will attack & kill the babies, so do the introducing on your lap & always have him restrained.
when she bangs another rat
no the rat that doesn't have babies might eat the babies be safe with the babies
No, mice and rats are two different species. Rats have rat babies, mice have mouse babies.
when its ready
It is possible but not guaranteed.
No unless interaction from a male rat (such as getting a rat that is about to have babies). two female rats can not have babies
60 babies
no a naked mole rat can't have babies with a rat
Well if you don't want her to eat the babies then yeah watch. I have watched a rat give birth before.
Yes. As long as they are the same gender, or one is neutered. Males are harder to get together but can be done. Females are easier. Old rats to young rats is easy, but the older rat may get annoyed by the younger ones. Adult to old / young is still easy, but the adult may be territorial. If neither of the rats have seen/met another rat before it may be harder. But if the older rat has met others before it should be easy - If you do it right.
Rats are not known for canabilizing their young, but babies should not be left without their mother for any longer than about an hour. They need to nurse.
