The ceolacanth lived about 410 million years ago. That's pretty old. Living specimens have been caught in recent times, but, as individuals it seems that they 'only' live for about 80 to 100 years. Even older fish fossils have been found, but it has been difficult to identify these as being truly fish. The oldest fish in captivity is reckoned to be about 80 years old. Also, other fish have been caught in the wild which appear to be about 100 years old. See Related Links below these three ads.
