∙ 11y agoIt depends on the species of snake. Some can live up to 20 years, and one of the oldest recorded was a python that lived to be 48 years old. Rattlesnakes live from 20 to 30 years in captivity, but most live only about 3 to 5 years in the wild.

Obviously each organism is different. I usually estimate a yard (36") to be about the distance from the tip of my finger to the middle of my nose. So, 39" (meter) would be about from the tip of my finger to the opposite ear. I also consider 1 pace as being close to a yard. But, I assume one could do super long paces that were close to a meter. Many dogs (including the tail) might be a meter long. The average height of a 4 to 5 yr old is about a meter.
A snake, it's just an old term for it with Biblical connotations can also be symbolic since almost anything bad can be the "serpent" in an otherwise paradise. .

I would think that it would not know the prey's definite shape and how far it would need to travel to get to the prey and if it was winter, body temperature would decrease in organisms causing the snake to starve because of lack of heat. Sincerely, a 12 year old
