Yes. Only the testicles on the male have been removed, not the penis. Penetration will still happen, as the male dog can still maintain an erection. There is just no sperm production. Indeed, neutered male dogs can maintain an erection, penetrate a female and actually achieve orgasm, and will "tie" with the female. Most neutered males are less interested in sex due to lowered testosterone levels, but still capable of all the actions. They simply do not produce sperm and cannot impregnate a female.
Having a fixed dog typically refers to the dog being spayed or neutered, which means they have undergone a surgical procedure to prevent reproduction. This procedure helps control the pet population and can also have health and behavioral benefits for the dog.
If your female cat is fixed aund another male cat is not fixed your female cat should not be attracted to the male cat but the male cat could be attracted to your female cat. ;)
You can determine if your dog is fixed by checking for a small incision scar on the abdomen. Female dogs will have a scar from spaying surgery, which is usually located near the belly button. Male dogs will have a scar from neutering surgery, which is typically located on the scrotum or abdomen.
yes female start to calm down when you get her fixed but if you have a male to you should get him fixed to or the female won't settle down that easily
The female should be spayed (fixed) at about 6 months. Some believe that she should have a litter before being spayed, but the only thing that does is add more unwanted dogs to the dog pound.
Yes My dog Peter has locked with my female do numerous times. My female dog also was not in heat at the time. It is actually a regular occurance in my household and my male dog has been fixed for 2 years now.
An unfixed dog still has hormonal urges and will mount anything it can, regardless of whether the other animal is receptive. Please spay or neuter your pet.
To show dominance. They are above the other dog or they want to be leader.
he should get fixed
No
Get her fixed!
Uh.....huh??
Yes. It definitely happened to my dog.
they could but they wouldnt do it
the male dog acts funny because they know they can not "make anything" with the female dog.
Strictly from a population standpoint it still makes a difference. Most cats maintain a territory, they can overlap but they will defend the area they live in. If a male is defending a territory and is unfixed he will try to impregnate every available female. If he is fixed he will still run off other males but be unable to mate.
