The process time for decomposing of a chicken carcass is currently unknown. The process will be faster during warmer temperatures and in wet soil.
If your hamster gets wet, you need to make sure they are kept warm for the next day or so because it could result in them getting flu

Chickens do stand out in the rain even when they have a dry coop a few feet away. Occasionally they will catch a chill and get sick just like people but for the most part, they just shake off and go about their business.
