No,it would only be a primary consumer. Because it does not eat any other type of food beside the honey they make. And that honey comes from the necter from a plant which in this case would be the producer.

∙ 11y agoThe venus fly trap is a secondary consumer. It consumes insects. The insects eat plants and other insects.
However, the venus fly trap is also a producer. It makes its own food by photosynthesis. That is why it traps and digests insects - to get the nutrients to manufacture its food, nutrients that are missing from the soil it grows in.
